1. Verified drivers and vehicles

• Every driver submits a valid driver’s licence, which we check before they can publish trips.
• Drivers confirm their identity with NIN and BVN verification.
• Vehicles are registered with their make, model, year, colour, plate number, and seat capacity, supported by vehicle registration and proof-of-ownership documents.
• Drivers only earn a verification badge after our review team approves their documents.

2. Your payment is protected in escrow

When you pay for a booking, your money does not go to the driver immediately. It is held safely in escrow by Along The Way and is only released to the driver after your trip is completed.

• If the trip never takes place, your money is refunded.
• If you cancel, refunds follow our Booking, Cancellation & Refund Policy.
• Drivers are paid out only after trip completion, which keeps everyone accountable.

3. Transparent bookings

• You see the driver’s name, verification status, vehicle details, and features (such as air conditioning and WiFi) before you book.
• You choose your exact seat(s) from the vehicle’s live seat map.
• Every successful payment comes with a shareable receipt you can present at boarding.

4. Staying safe on the road

• Chat with your driver inside the app, with no need to share your phone number.
• Your booking reference uniquely identifies your seat on the manifest.
• Report any incident to support and we will investigate, with escrow giving us real leverage to make things right.
